The FBI's investigation seemed set up to clear Brett Kavanaugh. This is what corrupt nations do

Nice disingenuity. 6 background checks that involved the standard cursory checks that don't reveal allegations that, hey, haven't been revealed yet. One investigation, the other six were standard background checks that can't in any way be considered investigations. And then one actual investigation where the FBI was explicitly not allowed to talk to most of the people who came forward, including the principal accusers. I mentioned this before as a hypothetical, but in actual real world, I had a "thorough" background check when I worked with high level Federal prisons, and passed not only that but the required security clearance, despite very clearly having a history of drinking problems and property destruction. I didn't have to explain anything away, because it wasn't followed up on when I answered truthfully. Just imagine the shit you can get away with by not directly answering or lying when no one has reason to think otherwise.

If they don't look where they should, background checks and investigations reveal jack shit about the truth.
