Fdev accidentally figured out how to encourage coop missions in Open Play!

Serious questions here.

If there were only 1 game mode. Open. Would you continue to play this game?

What is the definition of a greifier in ELITE DANGEROUS?

Not other games. Because killing another commander in open without the use of exploits is not bannable and is not considered greifing.

Getting down to the core of the problems.

Why does the open/solo/private group topic exist in the first place?

This isint an excuse to execute my psychopathic urges as some would say.

I just dont understand why private groups and solo mode have priority in a multiplayer game.

These issues could seriously hold a great game like this back. This game could be so much more. But they are trying to make EVERYONE happy. And you simply cant do that. All because a few people dont want to die in a multiplayer game.

inb4, "but mobius has over 20,000 members in it." Yeah im also in it. And all it is ; is another mission board refresh.

My point is. There would be less empty instances, More people to fight off the murderers and pirates. People would learn to defend theirself. It would make for exciting game play for everyone.

As it stands right now. Refusing to balance around 3 separate game modes is going to start causing major issues as the game grows as this game evolves. Especially when it comes to the BGS.

I love this game. But I also hate seeing a game implode because of people not wanting to die in a game with lasers beams, multicannons and tools for pirating, UA bombing, and System expansion.

Everyone bitches, BUT MAH POWER PLAY. It sucks we need to fix it.

Every single one of these problems would be fixed. If there was ONE game mode.
