Is it feasible to work part time outside of retail/fast food?

I think working 40 hours a week will help you with your depression as long as you aren’t working in toxic environments. Sometimes structure and a sense of feeling needed/valued in the work place can REALLY help with regulating emotions.

Source: I’ve struggled with depression and suicidal ideologies since I was 12. I worked part time and went to school- majorly depressed. I’m now working 40 hours a week and although I do have some bad days, I’m mostly doing better on the depression side of things. Depression will make you think you will feel better by staying at home- don’t do this. Even if you don’t work in your spare time, find a reason to leave the house. Stay busy.
