Seattle Nightly News’ logo flares up as the charming smile of head news anchor Alicia Walters appears on screen. She fluently changes to her matter-of-fact facial expression as she begins her broadcast.

Milena Todorovic mage doctor for St. Patrick’s Hospital in lower Downtown, was found dead in her apartment, hanging from the ceiling. The suicide was preceded by burning out the entirety of her magic powers through implantation of junkware shortly after having lost her job at the hospital for unprofessional conduct.”
Videos and imagery lacking any kind of meaningful content are used as analysis shots for reference in the entire broadcast, played backwards and in slow-motion, repeated multiple times until the news show actually continues.
“Todorovic had arrived in Seattle nearly a month ago and was jobless until two weeks prior, when mysteriously her predecessor, Joe Mueller, was found deceased with her being made the prime suspect. Were augmentations responsible for driving Todorovic over the edge and giving up on her life in such a manner? What happened that made her leave Russia?
