You're not getting arrested because you have BPD lol. You're getting arrested for committing a crime that's the reason for arrests being made. And before you get defensive I've had multiple arrests and been in jail and police custody many times. Because I committed stupid criminal acts. Not because I have a mental illness lmao. Nobody arrests you because you have a mental health issue they arrest you for your behaviour and whether that's caused by an illness or not if you have capacity (which you do hence you even writing this post and I cant speak for the mental condition of your friends who may be unwell and therefore that's why they got taken elsewhere for treatment) then that means you have responsibility for your actions. Maybe reevaluate your behaviours and actions that led to you getting arrested. The police be dickeheads sometimes but they really cba to purposefully target people with BPD and put them behind bars lol. I did dumb shit. Hence I got arrested. Commit crime/ invite suspicion from police = arrest. That's how the world works love. Forget what is happening to your friends. They are not you and their situations and circumstances are not the same as yours. Look at what led to these unfortunate events because people who aren't doing anything wrong/stupid do not get arrested (majority of the time). And that's from someone who has a very turbulent relationship with the feds. Be an adult and take responsibility your mental illness doesn't make you do shitty things and behave in ways that get you arrested. Mental illness doesn't make people shitty humans. It usually makes them better more compassionate ones. Please dont use that as an excuse for bad behaviour because it looks badly on those of us who dont use our illness as an excuse for things that have no relation to a mental health condition and everything to do with our conscious bad choices. Take responsibility for yourself because no one else will and when you don't it leads to others looking down on you from the get go and these things may well happen because you were the only one who was clearly not holding themselves accountable and trying to hide under the mental health excuse.
