Fed Up (2014) "Revealing a 30-year campaign by the food industry, aided by the U.S. government, to mislead and confuse the American public, resulting in one of the largest health epidemics in history."

I've watched quite a few food docos and this one was definitely the least interesting. Maybe they were trying to convince me to have opinions that I already held? Not sure, but Food Inc. was definitely more eye opening and compelling. Food Inc. was the final push I needed to go vegetarian, and it's been two years now, pretty much to the day.

A lot of 'Fed Up' just showed peoples ignorance and I couldn't help but think about a lot of it as a simple choice. If you want to eat pre packaged shite and are convinced it's healthy by some advertising or whatever, maybe you're the problem? So much of the doco spent time excusing people who could've done research, read the ingredients in the box, got fresh fruit and vegetables and didn't spend all of their time eating from a box. Theres so many genuinely stupid, stupid people in 'Fed Up' by the end of it I was the one who was 'fed up'

Spoiler Out of the entire doco, the one thing that I found the most shocking was classifying the tomato paste on a pizza as a serving of vegetables for children's cafeteria lunches. That's fucked.
