A federal judge blocked an Indiana law Thursday that would have banned abortions sought because of a fetus' genetic abnormalities, saying that the state does not have the authority to limit a woman's reasons for ending a pregnancy.

You're arguing two different things, though.

I'd say thats because the important factors would mean that discussing solutions for one thing or the other would inevitably lead to the rights or autonomy of one sex being suppressed for the other's benefit.

t's in the child's (and society's) best interest to make sure the kid has food and shelter and clothes and an education.

Its in society's best interest to make abortions freely available and discourage single parents from existing at all, not to chain unwilling men to the kids when they're popped out against all common sense, that is just a bandaid solution instead of fixing the societal issue.

Single motherhood has been glorified into something its not, the only women having children when they aren't in equal partnership relationship to support the child are A: People brainwashed into believing abortion is something morally questionable or B: Selfish women who want to put their own desires of being a mother over the reality that they'll be inflicting on both their child and on the father.

Number A is the fault of conservative and religious groups who bend over backwards til their spine's snap deny sex education, deny easy to access birth control, and deny abortions. Number B is just an individual problem that shouldn't be encouraged at all.
