Federal Prosecutors let illegal gun manufacturer go in bid to preserve gun control efforts

Most americans (including me) don't want a repeal, but I completely agree that the hardline 2A supporters are forcing it with things like this (shooting themselves in the foot if you will). Every kid who has school shooter drills, every adult who has to watch HR's video on workplace shooter, every business owner who has to implement a workplace shooter plan resents this hardline that makes all this necessary. I grew up with guns, on a farm where one was needed and it was considered polite to grab a neighbors gun off the wall and shoot out the window to scare a bear off rather than bother or interrupt your host during sunday morning coffee. But client X who brought a loaded sig sauer to a meeting in my office and owned 17 guns he wanted my help registering for aw ban in my state- including multiple ak & ar's- scares the hell out of me. Later, I mentioned him to my father, who knew him and confirmed how nuts client X was by asking my dad years ago to weld him a cannon (knowing anything about welding or cannons shows the insanity level there). I'm a miniscule minority with the sunday morning coffee anecdote but lots of people have a Client X anecdote.
