Feds say Canada poised to 'ramp up' second COVID-19 doses starting in June

I understand why they wanted to give me a cancerous fire extinguisher while they shored up supplies to give you the non-cancerous one. I understand why they encouraged me to take it (if I didn’t, they would be stuck with it, and one less person would be vaccinated). I understand from a public health perspective, a numbers perspective, a logistics perspective. If some anonymous person behind these words on Reddit had these complaints, I might say the same thing as you.

It is very different when you are the one given the cancerous fire extinguisher, told only assholes would try and get a better one. But they can’t replace it for you, only for people who refused it.

They manipulated me. They didn’t say “we want you to take it because someone has to, but we are going to ban it right afterward and just use the better vaccines”. I don’t trust them. I’m angry and I wish I only had to look at this situation from a logistical and generalized perspective and I wasn’t personally involved, because the landscape of my reaction is different being very personally involved.
