Feds say inflation is 3-4%. It's at least 13% and rising fast enough to wipe out most people within a decade.

We h. If anything my costs have gone down. I am barely noticing inflation. I think this really does depend on your class position. The more money you have the less likely you are to feel it. If you are childfree it is also less noticeable.

Also my costs...mortgage refinance with record low rate. Transportation costs weekly lower because of telework.

I have seen no real increase in food costs. I eat our less these days because of telework.

Let's put it this way... everything depends. The rule the poor pay more now is only amplified now.

I already own a home in a High COL city. I have a professional job. That's the thing when inflation hits, it's going to hit when I have fixed costs which are much lower already. A moderate bump up in food costs won't effect me. The biggest thing that might impact me is an increase in air travel costs...so I take fewer plane trips and spend more time in southern Virginia. No big deal.
