Doesn't matter if they deliberately chose it to mock trans women or not, it's a writer's job to have some kind of tact and to be mindful of what they write. Given how obscure the name Sirona is to begin with, it's not hard to feel that it was intentional at worst. It's incompetence at best, part of being a writer is anticipating how something you wrote is going to be perceived, and they clearly either didn't think about how the name could be taken, or did and simply didn't care. It's a bad look either way and it's easy to see how it's controversial.

The thing is that you would never get it unless you were sympathetic to those it can upset. You would never get it if you don't see things from a trans person's point of view, who is already deeply upset with Harry Potter and its author JK Rowling. The game writers clearly weren't careful at the very best, and now they're getting the shit that comes with not being careful or mindful.
