Here’s my take. I was hooking up with my now wife. While we were hooking up I was also hooking up with one of the women she hated and she absolutely hated that. We didn’t intend on being in a relationship, to begin with. She approached me saying she was starting to have feelings and I told her I would continue to see the other girl (until she moved across the country) and more if I decided to. She pushed back and said she wasn’t sure how she felt about it, I maintained it was that or nothing.

We dated for two years and got married about a month ago. We have explored it more and it’s the best relationship I’ve had. If I meet a woman I tell her about her, they meet either in person or over a quick FaceTime call to decide if they’re both okay with the situation/each other. With communication it can be solid.

I’ve been with another four women off and on. She tested the waters on her end and said it doesn’t do it for her. I have no problem with her having alternatives because I have alternatives but I will not abstain because she does. She’s happy for me and I’m happy with my life.

Not everyone or even most will have a good experience with it. It isn’t for people who can not communicate and be honest. If you can accept what each other wants to be happy and that you may not be able to provide it without taking that as an insult it can be solid.
