Do you feel confident to self manage a billion dollar jackpot?

I'm surprised the mods haven't locked this but its Friday so wtf.

Any reasonably intelligent person with some common sense couldn't possible f this up.

Pay off the mortgage of family members, loved ones, and good friends. Place 1M an irrevocable trust for same with provisions for withdrawals starting at age 65 insuring no one is destitute in old age. Tell them all I love you but that's it.

Establish a charitable trust with a big chunk if you so so disposed and give, give, give, baby! The rest of you are soulless. lol

OK, you've maybe spent 50 mil.

Buy 2 or 3 5000sf houses in your favorite places.

Invest what's left, most of it, in anything reasonable. 30 year treasuries, VOO. Half in each. it doesn't much matter.

Set a conservative drawn down rate based on age. Invite the ones you love someplace cool once or twice a year all on you.

Make provisions so most of what left when you die give's your kids, something like 10M each, and the rest goes to your favorite charity so you don't F up generations of grand kids.
