I feel this deep in my soul

You just got really personal without even taking a glance at my profile. Im a woman for starters. What i found offensive isn’t that someone would seek revenge on a man, it’s that it could be used to reinforce the idea that some women would scream (fake) rape in order to destroy a man’s life. I personally think that’s a damning implication but i’m open to hearing otherwise (i literally ended my previous comment with a question for this reason).

I didn’t read the book but apparently there are some great monologues by the main character. At least in the movie, these were not what stood out to me. I found her violence very graphic (especially that which she did to herself) and left the theatre feeling more disturbed than empowered. You’re totally allowed to have a different take away but I’d appreciate if you expressed it without the personal attacks, otherwise i’m still not gonna take whatever the other perspective is supposed to be.
