Why do I feel so different whenever I dress up as a girl?

You might genuinely just like cross dressing, you might actually want to be a girl.

What you're describing isn't definitely dysphoria. How's your relationship with your body? How did you feel about puberty? How do you feel about women in general? Do you associate yourself with any group? Do you ever wish you could just crossdress all the time? If so, why? Do you wish people in your life saw you as a girl? Do you wish people would treat you as a girl/woman? (Idk how old you are) Do you ever have dreams where you're a girl, even like daydreams?

If you could be a girl today, just magically be a cis girl like with no repercussions or consequences, would you? Like actually think about that. If you could do it, and everyone would know you instantly as a girl and would never know that you were ever a boy, would you? Think about your answer and any thoughts or feelings that are brought up for you.

I'll be honest and say that for myself I had no hesitation whatsoever when it came to the last question. Some people will hesitate to answer, and that's fine. These are just some questions to get you to explore your own gender identity.

No one can tell you one way or the other. Seriously, its no one else's opinion. Its not my opinion, not your friends opinions, not your parents opinions, nor your teachers, nor your doctor, not anyone but you. You are the only person who's opinion matters here. So find your answer.

Personally I somewhat relate to what you're saying. Its complicated though. Being pre-transition and pre-realization i was mostly just depressed. I never understood what my gender identity had to do with it until I started to actually look back on my life. I'd spend hours day dreaming about who I would be if I could be a girl. I got really spiteful towards my first girlfriends because they got to be girls and I didn't. I was confused, but I didn't actually understand why.

I think most people will tend to push you subtly (or not so subtly) towards one answer or the other. The truth is no 2 trans people have the same experience. There may be similarities but ultimately every person is different including you. Think about it, and be ready to accept yourself no matter who you are.
