I feel like I can't see as good as other people in games?

Maybe this will help you I don’t know but in competitive fps games like tarkov you mentioned for example.

People have a habit of staring at their crosshair and hoping their peripheral vision does a good enough job to take care of the rest of the screen but in most cases it does not, especially in games such as tarkov where there are many kill locations and open areas. The “stare in the middle technique works for bright colourful games such as overwatch or paladins but they are designed that way.

So here is what I do in any low TTK, open fps such as tarkov, squad, arma.

Divide your screen into four squares 1, 2 at the top 3, 4 at the bottom. Most likely 4 can be written off as this is usually where your gun is so you can have a central glance every cycle which i’ll explain.

I start at square 1 and I scan roughly 4-5 lines across, similar to lined paper, then when I reach the bottom of square 1, I do the same for square 2 then lastly the same for 3.

Then I will look in the middle of the entire screen briefly and then look at the centre of 1, dart my eyes to the centre of square 2 then square 3 then lastly square 4. Then I repeat the lines technique for 1/2/3.

So lines 1/2/3 > Centre screen/C1/C2/C3/C4 > repeat

I find this technique works best when you have realistic speed movement, low time to kill and open areas, tarkov being a perfect example.

It sounds a-lot when written out but honestly it takes seconds in real gameplay.
