I feel like this is important for all indie devs to get into their head

AAA does not mean "Quality" at all...

AAA does only mean that it is a big budget video games with most likely investors... This picture can be achieve by any indie game dev for the 1/10 of the price this image show... But it take time, time is more costly than anything else.. In no freaking way this red car cost 6000$ and that the truck (which is bigger and need more details than the car) cost 400$ less... It can bring to weeks of work. Modeling, texturing, rigging (if needed)... But saying it is as costly as this... 940$ for a barrel ? I can do this barrel in minutes... And i do not charge 1000$ for 5 minutes of work...

Stating that indie dev can't achieve this level of quality is saying basically "if you do not work for a AAA studio, give up"... Well... If you want, you can...

2200$... for a tree... Come on... Most of them a re-used anyway so, even if it was 2200$ for one, you use this 2200$ over 100 time in the game...

You can achieve the quality you want to achieve if you're willing to put the time for it. And again, AAA does not mean "Quality" at all... this only mean the amount you can spend. And most of it are spend for marketing over quality most of the time...

Here: I'm making an horror game... https://www.reddit.com/r/WelcomeHomeGame/
And i work in a vfx studio full time... I don't say this image is false but... in no way it should influence an indie dev
