Obligatory “not all men” but as someone who used to spend 3 hours a day on major city public transit, I can definitely tell you that it happens daily. Dudes sit down on two different seats with their legs open wide, they’re probably not even aware that they’re doing it honestly, or they just aren’t considering how much space they’re taking up and that there are other people on the train/bus. They’re very casual about it because they’re comfortable like that, but they’re screwing over everyone else without even realizing it. It’s one of those issues that’s normally solved when someone walks up and says “excuse me,” but they shouldn’t be doing it in the first place if you ask me.
