Superficial? Only a pageant queen who hasn't had struggles? She has gone through depression. What more struggle do you want to put on her. She went through the pageant life and learnt that she felt different, and to be herself, and learnt from winning that external validation is not where happiness lies. She grew and had self-reflection and the opposite of a superficial experience.

She also has complexity and depth but if you don't listen to the facts she is saying out loud... I don't know how you'll perceive that. But if you don't at least pay attention you could cushion your opinions a little. Also...could you not comment that she's been engaged when she isn't?
