Do you feel strongly connected to your identity as a woman? How important is being a woman to your sense of self?

I feel very strongly connected, personally. It's not so much that I associate being a woman with a set of innate traits as I move through and experience the world as a woman. I do try not to view everything through the lens of gender, mostly because it's exhausting, but that's the thing - being a woman isn't something you can simply shed just like that.

As for how important being a woman is to my sense of self... I'd say that's very important as well. The self is constituted of, among other things, memories overtime - and so many of my defining memories have to do with being a woman. I couldn't imagine an hauteburrrito who wasn't a woman - being a woman is integral to who I am. There are times I wish it weren't, but by and large, it simply is what it is.
