I feel a UTI coming on. Am I able to prevent it?

Q1: No idea about the organism, that info was not given to me. Q2: I was still having symptoms a week after the first course, so my Doc gave me another course just to be sure. Q3: I had a full STD screening which came back clean and was even given an antibiotic for chlamydia since the second doctor I went to didn't listen to me when I told him it was caused by dehydration (which was what the first doc I went to told me) and he insisted it must be caused by an STD...

What I should have mentioned is I have had issues with drug abuse for a while.. the reason I was so dehydrated was from a combination of stimulant and alcohol abuse. In the past couple months I'm not proud to say that I had continued these habits which leads me to think that they have caused this once again. As of today I've been two weeks completely sober.
