Feeling like they're behind and now hesitant to enroll them in public school.

Yes, I find myself guilty of comparing my kid's work to what I remembered doing in public school. But then I remembered that my memory is imperfect and cha!Kanye those thoughts. Even worse, I'm comparing my kid's curriculum with the school district's curriculum and I feel like my kid is way behind because we live in a super competitive area and then I start feeling really bad that I'm failing as parent. However I remind myself that the worst that can happen is that when they enter school they'll be placed a year or two behind. My primary job as a parent is to train them to be good, decent human beings that will eventually contribute to society in their own capacity. And if thats all i did as a parent, I'm fine with that. My kid does not need to be a billionaire, or have a genius IQ or bring world peace.

You're doing the best you can.

PS have you looked into CHIP for insurance, if your located in US? The hospital told us about it when I had my baby.
