Feeling unwelcome in this sub, mostly because of my views on violence, absolutism, and antifa.

Even if antifa attacked first, it was the nazis who came into that small town looking for a fight, bringing firearms, shields, clubs...etc.

This matters why? Do you want to indulge their bloodlust?

Antifa, along with some republicans, kicked out an alt-right protest in Minneapolis I think. Submedia has a video on this if you want more information.

Look, is it really achievement to give them ammo about how we are shutting down free speech?

What would an alt-right rally accomplish? Bad publicity, that's about it.

People are literally getting run over and you're telling them not to use violence? The proles should arm themselves and defend any protest they participate in.

There's a difference between responding to violence and preemptively employing it.

Like I said before, even if antifas aren't popular, antifa is standing up for minorities and scaring fascists.

I don't think anyone is scared of black-clad teens/early 20 year olds.

Nazism in Germany was defeated by a world war, not by peaceful protest, not by "human shields," and not by elections.

By a World War that was set-up by the botched handling of the "winning" side of the previous world war.

There's already camera recordings of violent police encounters and fascist riots. If violence is inevitable, why submit yourself to that violence? Don't you think your life is more valuable then a nazi's?

Because, like Ghandi, you sway opinion. When people see innocents getting beaten in the streets they are more sympathetic to your cause.

might as well not try.

This isn't what I'm saying. I'm saying the U.S. is pretty much the crux of the problem. Until U.S. imperialist doctrine changes, there won't be much chance for fledgling socialist/communist experiments out there.

We don't need public opinion on our side, but it would help.

Without public opinion, the moderates vote in more fascists... Neverending cycle of violence.
