Feelings on putting Charisma down to 1?

I personally can only truly speak for the Be-All-And-End-All our Can-Do-No-Wrong avatar of creative beauty lord and savior New Vegas as it is the only game in the seriers I am somewhat good with mechanics-wise.

This is all just my personal way of doing things.

I always try my best roleplaying and adjust my S.P.E.C.I.A.L. to my character's qualities. I still force myself to at least partially adjust to the game's optimized meta, which, for example, led me to make a 4 perc character (+1 implant + 1 LR skillpoint) to get Better Crits despite my initial intentions of having 3 base and four-eyes trait because the guy was supposed to be as blind as a newborn kitten without a pair of glasses or lenses. Despite that, I still do my best to find balance between RP and meta, as staying true to the character is still very important to me.

Charisma is undisputably a dump stat in NV, but the only character on my list that has 1 base (and no relevant implant) charisma is a legitimate sociopath. Others have enough charisma according to their personalities, from my attractive but highly arrogant and unfriendly asshole (3 -> 4) to my crazy murderer with the looks of a model and the charm of a cult leader (7 -> 8).

Among other stuff, Luck is among the best combat SPECIALs, yet none of my characters have it below or above 5 base upon creation as I hate these kinds of superstitions and this sort of "skill" is never featured in other game incarnations of those characters.

It's a roleplaying game, after all, not some sort of a competetive MMO that demands you to obey the meta if you don't want to get curbstomped in the arena by xX--IToldUrMumSheHasVerySuppleHands--Xx because you were 1 point short in Strength to get Stone Wall and got stunlocked by his Super Slam. Or get kicked from a squad because you picked Meltdown instead of Laser Commander like a complete degenerate and your DPS with Gauss Rifle sucks compared to that guy with a Gatling Laser next to you.

Leave this stuff to upcoming 76. Try having fun instead.
