Feelings of people here on the movie Flying Jatt?

They could literally do a movie from any time period covering something important. I would love that so much.

Mate, they do that all the time. You're just not paying attention (like most people who shit on Bollywood). You can't just watch the most popular films and base it off of that, you've got to read reviews and film lists n shit like you would with Hollywood. There's some brilliant filmmakers in India who're massively underrated because of the whole "fuck bollywood" attitude.

This particular film looks shit to me (I just hate superhero films in general tbh) but I don't get your guys' reasoning. The film is about a non-religious jatt sikh guy who gets superpowers. He puts a kanda on his costume just like 95% of non-religious sikhs would (just like they put in on their bodies, cars, houses etc.). The trailer even shows his mam berating him for cutting his hair and not being a sardar. He's not meant to be some "true sikh hero" like OPs implying. In the trailer he's fighting baddies in space lmao, it's not that deep. No one's watching this thinking it's a serious portrayal of sikh philosophy.
