Fellow Americans, what resolution do you hope will come of the Biden and Xi meeting?

Issues aren't going to be resolved. Noooo. I think this one is more about a level set or level confirmation - i.e. - where are we at right now. Apparently that went well enough and the diplomatic channels may open up more than since Pelosi's visit to Taiwan.

Nothing has really changed as a result of this meeting though. We're on a path to sort of modify globalization, we're competitors (that's in the open), we aren't satisified with the South China Sea situation, we're supporting TW in kinda vague kinda clear ways, we don't want China involved in supporting Russia in Ukraine, IP theft and other stuff....there's a pretty long list of points of disagreement. But we're still willing to talk or work through issues. I think that's what came out of the meeting and I hope we do continue to work through issues constructively.
