I felt this in my soul!!!

system is rigged to keep the poor poor.

If you pay your bills on time (have good credit) you can buy a house with like 3% down if you think it's the way to riches. You can even take that 3% from a cash advance on a credit card.

You can pay all that interest for about 10 years before you start getting any real equity. Hopefully your house appreciates during that time...and maybe sell it?

An alternate strategy is to live in a cheap apartment and dump all of your excess money (that you would be spending on interest, taxes, insurance, repairs) into the market and basically earn a bunch of interest for 10 years.

I wouldn't say the system is rigged...but you have to dig your way out of being poor and no path is pleasant.
