Female engineer sues Tesla describing a culture of 'pervasive harassment'

Anecdotal evidence, yeah. Again, I'm not trying to diminish what has happened to you or your friends, I just don't think casting a wide "most tech companies do this" net is true, especially when you yourself now work for a tech company that isn't like that.

My girlfriend of 8 years, who has worked at this company for over 10, has been harassed one time, by a coworker who refused to accept "no" when she wouldn't go out for drinks after work, she told HR and the man was let go within days. She is 1 of 3 women who work in this department, the 9 others are men. I can't tell you if the 2 others were ever harassed, but they have worked here for a long time and I can't recall any other issues pertaining to them in the 11 years I've worked here (there very well could have been, but I'm not sure). I don't need any money from you. We have gotten comments about our relationship in a similar vein, but they weren't taken as sexist and seemed more of the people thinking we got more incentives or perks for being together - which isn't true.
