Female "fans" are as capable as male "fans" when it comes to being creepy.

The rest of what you’ve said about men being unable to be fans of groups without being called perverts etc, are just strawmans because if you’re not being a weirdo you get on just fine, which many men experience

So I’m not sure why you’re talking about a lack of equality here when this woman actually faced consequences for as far as we, socially, can allow?

When Twice's fanbase in SK was dominated by men, there was an ongoing narrative that Twice has got creepy uncles fans who are fond of them only because the uncle fans in question are "perverts". Y'know what was the so-called example which backed up this narrative? Twice's comeback stages where men cheered for them. Why do you think fanboys are rare in k-pop? Just like how fangirls are constantly shamed for liking k-pop, fanboys too can't catch a break. If a fanboy likes a male idol, he is gay. If the fanboy likes a female idol, he is a pervert. I didn't bring these examples out of thin air, fyi. So yes, while your argument is reasonable, plenty of men do get called "weirdo" even when they aren't showcasing weird behaviour. It's great that the woman received immense amount of criticism and it affected her but take a look at some of my other examples too. Smuts, shipping male idols, saying disgusting things to male idols, creating questionable videos aren't taken seriously THE WAY a man's creepy behaviour is handled. Another example would be the endless amount of cases where men got falsley accused of SA yet the women who accused them of crimes they didn't commit got away with it. I can go on & on about this. I'm sure that you understood why I argued about the lack of equality here.
