Female gamers of Reddit,What are your awkward experiences during online gaming?

This is a story involving me and my GF take it as you will. So before meeting me on WoW she played a very certain way and kept quiet (still does sometimes as far as online gaming goes). Then when her and my crew started grouping up a lot I told her to use her feminine wiles to get free shit. It worked. Like Margaret Schroeder of Boardwalk Empire she had just tapped into an unknown power she kinda didn't know she had over the internet nerds. Then the denial came she thought guys were treating her well because she was a good gamer. Which is true she is better than me and most people I meet at the vidya which no doubt fueled the males' desire for her attention. So we rerolled gnome alts on a different WoW server I played a girl warlock gnome (still have her she was my best MoP toon) and she played a dude gnome monk. She witnessed FIRST HAND getting snubbed by a guy online only so he could give more attention to me by offering me bags money and run-throughs (because he "knew" I was the girl since my gnome had pink hair.) while when she asked he was always busy. Of course I'd ask for the dungeon run throughs I'd invite my "friend" and we'd both get to go. And for the record we never once EITHER of us used genders when referring to each other just very neutral terms with a little convincing from my gf that she indeed was male by me telling her to talk about pussy ONCE.

Another thing she tells me is she still gets texts from a couple dudes from her old guild(s) she only knows through facebook who she hasn't responded to in 4+ years. Stuff like "Hey just doing my yearly check up lol" and "Are you still in North TX?"

I feel bad for my gender sometimes.
