From a girl’s POV: I didn’t have sex for a number of years because my mum died and I had to get a job and look after my siblings. I also had incredibly low self esteem from years of emotional abuse from my dad. Tbh, getting on with my life and making sure the sibs got to school and had somewhere to live was more important than finding someone to bone.

When I eventually put myself back out there again, I just said ‘hey, I haven’t done this in a really long time.’ Weirdly, I felt more nervous about kissing than I did about having sex again, but he thought it was cute I was nervous, and was really great about the whole thing.

TL;DR: Ain’t no thang. Everyone’s got their own path, just take yours as it comes ^eyy
