No, that's sleazy. That doesn't belong in the housing section, it belongs in the personals section. I mean they're pretty much trying to trade housing for sex. Flag that shit as prohibited. And you realize most people don't want to have to fuck someone to "pay" for their housing, right? Especially not someone who you don't even know, and is probably older and not that attractive. I'm a gay male myself so it probably wouldn't be impossible to find such an arrangement, but I would never go for that.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. The examples in my post represent the most blatant and extreme mentalities.

I'd suspect that underneath them, lies a significant swathe of dudes who would prefer a female roommate because a sexual relationship could develop. I've known many, many guys who've expressed that exact sentiment.

This could work both ways as well, but given the fact women have infinite options and their hypergamus nature, it's very likely they'll only accept some high-earning professional or a Chad as a roommate.
