Females of Reddit: What do you REALLY mean when you break up with a guy because he's "too nice"?

i don't think that it was because he was too giving and generous with her, more than likely it was because they never had a real bond to begin with. in other words, they got into the relationships FOR THE WRONG REASONS. this is the BIG difference. now, when a couple who naturally are made for each other engage in a relationship with each other in the PROPER fashion (marriage before copulation, etc), and they're only with each other because they BOTH know they actually belong to each other and are therefor willing to be faithful to each other forever, then the woman won't become bored or disinterested in the man because of his passiveness and willingness to constantly please her. she'll instead find his generosity towards her to be really sweet and beautiful. in no way will she be off-put enough to won't to break up with him - absolutely no way will this ever happen.

the problem in today's society is that people are getting with each for the wrong reasons. selfish, half-hearted reasons. so of course their relationships are going to be shallow and prone to decaying and then inevitably to dying.

this is what happens when people don't uphold the instructions of the LORD.
