Feminists of reddit, why isn't there equality in sport?

give men and women equal opportunities in life

What does this mean? Its so arbitrary. Reality itself does not give us equal opportunity, we are like yin and yang

Men are vastly underrepresented in the fields of education, nursing, and administrative assistance. Why do they not "cry about" that?

I guess because men aren't overly concerned about every industry having an equal balance. The garbage collector point is made to create the question; why equality here but not there? And the answer seems to boil down to: women don't want equality, they want to cherry pick any perceived benefits males have without considering the complex mechanisms behind why things are the way they are. There is an assumption that everything boils down to a taboo notion of sexism, but gender is a fundamental part of evolutionary reality and many things are organic rather than maliciously crafted.

Why would women devote time and energy campaigning for equal representation in a job that no one, man or woman, really wants

Because that's actual equality, taking the good with the bad. Men aren't out here living in male dominated paradise.
