femme lovers overload and other rants.

Well, it was 2004. I rewatched it recently and I too was doing a lot of eye-rolling at how dated and un-inclusive it is / how they treat Max. However I feel that their issue with Max is more socioeconomic / you aren’t part of the glamorous LA lifestyle (which although Jenny wasn’t from LA either, fit into a little more as an outgoing and eccentric writer).

And I’m not sure where you’re from but have you seen lesbians from LA??? So many femmes. And I mean, lipstick lesbians. Idk, in my personal opinion I think it’s an accurate depiction of rich, white lesbians in LA at that time and how television at that time was whitewashed.

The new series overcompensates for the lack of representation and is way more current. I think it’s a lot more relatable but not as good (again, IMO).
