A few fun gems from my meeting with a seasoned screenwriter

I’m not gonna argue with any of that, especially since you give great advice a lot on here. But I would ask what works (film or otherwise) you think have achieved that “transcendent” quality where the inspiration is simply a backdrop for a new story?

Like, I’m sorry if this is more confusing than my last question, if you make a movie set in the times of like early Christianity, is that following a trend because biblical settings and stories are frequently popular because of inherent cultural interest.

Like if I wanted to tell the secret story of an Apostle, would it be worth it at all because the subject matter will always dominate my personal story vision?

If you have time, no need to answer everything or read it all right now. Thanks for the reply.
