Thanks for all the kind and supportive comments, and sharing your own stories. I want to add this was maybe the 2nd or 3rd argument we’ve really had and I think the first one that occurred since we moved in together. We’re both pretty conflict averse. I understand that he didn’t want to participate in it anymore but it wasn’t even that bad of an argument, like everyone else I don’t want to be represented by a moment where I’m at my worse. And I know he wouldn’t either, I don’t feel great posting this but I felt I couldn’t tell my friends because I don’t want them thinking poorly of him, and this was the only resource I knew where I could readily share this anonymously. I really want to add that he’s been otherwise really kind and generous and I ultimately still want to preserve my relationship. If he ever does this again I will leave without a doubt, but for now I hope we can both start learning to address conflict better.
