How long do you plan on staying in that community?

In nearly twenty years with my wife, we’ve always been willing to make sacrifices for one another. When it comes to our professional careers and moving, we consider any opportunity that may arise as a team.

After six years of living in a relatively remote town of about 5,000 people, I was ready for a change. We moved to a larger community closer to a major centre. After two years, my wife had an opportunity with another company in another town. We moved. After two years there, I wasn’t happy with the company I was with, so I changed companies and my field of work, to some extent. I’ve been content in work for ten years. We both had other opportunities pop up, but we weighed all the pros and cons and did what we felt was best for our marriage. We’d often joke about whose turn it was to for us to move for.
