I thought the kill sound on the phone guys death message was regular freddy?

Also, I don't know if you played 3 yet, but what the phone guy says as well as the mini game in that game, as well as the very existence of SpringTrap, kind of disprove the thought that Phone Guy is Golden Freddy.

~~The Golden Freddy and Golden Bonnie suits are both spring suits. Meaning that both suits are designed to be an animitronic when nobody is inside of them, but they can be worn by performers as well. We learn in the 3rd game that Springtrap is actually the Purple Man, who was killed by the suit itself and his corpse is still inside of it. If the Phone Guy dyed by being stuffed inside of the Golden Freddy suit then the Golden Freddy suit wouldn't be empty. The Phone Guys corpse would be inside of it.

Also, in the (default) mini games of the third game, we don't see a Golden Freddy anywhere. Instead, the four animitronics (Freddy Bonnie Chica and Foxy) are all destroyed by the purple man. The last mini game has the fifth child walk over to the same room to find the purple man and the other four children's ghosts. There is no Golden Freddy suit there. Only Golden Bonnie. So the Golden Freddy suit was never actually in that store. Or at least, not anymore.

Interestingly enough, in the first mini game in Five Nights 2, the first child to die is killed the presence of regular Freddy. Not Golden Freddy. Golden Freddy and Golden Bonnie were the original two animitronics. But yet aren't around when the murders are at there peak. But at SOME point they were being used at not one, but two different stores. (The one Phone Guy works at, and then the sister store) so it's unknown which establishment that they were being used in. It couldn't have been Five Nights 2, since they wanted to get rid of all of the old animitronics in that game, so it have to be the one in Five Nights 1, or a restaurant before both games.

We later learn that the Golden Suits are deemed too dangerous and are sent back for inspection. Employes are to wear Temporary Suits, but its unknown if those suits are actually safe or not (considering that The Phone Guy says they aren't held accountable for anything that happens if you wear it.)

And yet in a later message, Phone Guy talks about someone moving the Golden Bonnie suit. It's not the temporary one, its one of the originals. Because he reminds the employees to NOT touch it. So that means they moved the Golden Freddy Suit away already, but the Golden Bonnie suit still reminds in the safe room.

And when you go into the room as the fifth child in the last mini game of Five Nights 3, only Golden Bonnie is there.

I don't know why the fifth child uses Golden Freddy as a host. Maybe at the time of his death Golden Freddy really WAS around. Who knows. But who really knows?~~

But yeah, personally? I have the feeling Phone Guy isn't dead. Horribly maimed or maybe even cripple, but I have a guy feeling he is still alive. Don't really have any proof though to say he is to be honest.
