Figures show Streaming and technology is actually destroying music sales and revenue for artists

? Correct me if im wrong but if youre in bed with a label and theyre taking a cut its because theyre the ones organizing the shows or producing the merch... Self admittedly ive started a label with a friend of mine about a year ago and we take the cuts for producing the product or organizing a show and then another smaller cut so we can profit and help expand the brand (Bigger shows / more merch and hopefully one day be able to get paid ourselves for our work) all of this is agreed upon during the contract stages. If youre allowing these people to break the terms of your contract thats on you honestly. Obviously theres shadyness in this side of the industry but I felt like this statment was very black and white, then again I might be reading into something that isnt there.
