Is the Filipino identity dead or is it dying? What's your thought about this?

I think one of the reasons why our national identity isn't that as well-established as compared with our peers in the region is how our history is taught.

History class is one of the basic foundations in instilling and shaping the national identity and narrative to the young generation.

Tignan mo nga history natin — puro pagsakop, at pang-aapi kaya naestablish sa mga batang Pilipino 'yung submissive thinking. Kulang tayo sa history about our precolonial, kulang sa emphasis na bago pa dumating ang mananakop eh meron na tayong mga kaharian, kultura, mga batas, etc.

Sa ibang bansa, baliktad, grabe ang emphasis nila sa precolonial era nila to teach younger generation how civilized their societies at dumating lang ang mga mananakop as villains, dito we view them as heroes.
