Filipino scientist Aisa Mijeno and the fraud that she is makes Filipinos look Incompetent

Holy fuck finally! Someone else is finally talking about this woman. I came upon her name way back in 2018 when I was still an undergrad student of Applied Physics. I can't believe that she was endorsed by prominent public figures because even reddit of all people knows that her claims are bullshit. Here's a thread from 2015 criticizing the carefully crafted PR-statement of the article regarding her. Even Rappler explained it really well. The author's note at the end was just perfect.

Author’s note: The purpose of this article is not to discredit SALt’s product but to explain scientifically the technology behind it and its challenges, which were missing in the media coverage. I admire their effort to bring technologies to the masses and I believe that it is neither their intention to deceive nor they have unscientific claims. But, it is the responsibility of everyone (media, start-up founders, scientists, etc.) to provide accurate information to the general public, thus avoiding misleading statements and overly enthusiastic expectations from the people.

I gotta applaud her for one thing though. She managed to use the high praises of non-scientific public figures to boost her popularity. But damn she's scummy as fuck.
