Filling Ruth Bader Ginsburg's Supreme Court seat would be a disastrous Republican move — If Republicans force a Trump nominee onto the Supreme Court and Democrats sweep the election, bygones won't be bygones. There will be retribution.

eh, i'm guessing people saying shit like this are young. from reagan on, democrats could not win an election to save their fucking lives if they didn't play to the middle. that's how clinton got elected, and third way centrism became the democratic mainstream.

a lot of younger people don't realize this because they grew up with obama, who was immensely popular. in reality most of the elected democrats today still live in third way world. it's only been very recently, really with the popularity of sanders in 2016, that anything to the left of third way has had a voice again.

i see the next democratic presidency as being the tipping point for these two ideologies. the pelosi/aoc, sanders/clinton clash has to play itself out before the democratic party will start being more aggressive again, like it was in the 60s and before.
