Filling sub script at pharmacy, how are you treated?

I used to use Walgreens. One time this OLD Pharmacist Lady gave me a box of opened Suboxone. So I go off by the blood pressure test machine and counted them. She shorted me by ten. I come back to the counter and inform them I was shorted. This old woman refused to admit she could have made a mistake. She started calling me a drug addict and that I had opened the box and took ten out to get an extra ten. At this time I was prescribed two a day but I was weaning. So I was taking maybe 1 a day. I ended up getting the ten she shorted me but she put on my account that I was a potential drug addict and that I had to count the script twice before leaving the store next time. I was pissed.

So I tell my doctor about it who recommended the Medicine Shoppe pharmacy. I tried them and they were all nice people and I switched. I used them until the day I came off.

It truly makes me wonder why people would be so hateful to people actively seeking recovery. I mean it’s Suboxone. Obviously they’re trying to get help. (most are anyway) and people want to judge them for it?

It’s a cant win situation if you are in recovery sometimes.

There is an upside to this story. The pharmacist was eventually shorting a bunch of people on their narcotic prescription. From what I hear, she was making a killing with all of her retired friends from what she was taking. So it’s not you. It’s them that have the problem.

You are working on a solution to your problem. People like that are just trying to put their problems into you. Stay where you’re heading. The view is nice on the other side.
