Can you elaborate on "Morally corrupt"? Did these people simply not say anything or actively cover things up?

Because to a degree not saying anything is kind of a gray area. Behavior like the Weinsteins of the world is a power play. They don't give a shit if you know, they're convinced you won't do anything about it or speak up. It's as much about flexing on witnesses as it is on direct victims.

That said if somebody like Meryl Streep actively covered for the guy, I get calling her out. I'm not terribly informed on the issue- One example I've heard is Whoopi Goldberg's insistence that what Polanski did wasn't "Rape rape" but other than that I don't know about any outright apologia from the "elites".
