Please do not go to this. I just went through something similar and trust me, it is not something I’d wish on anyone. Closure is an illusion and if it’s already over, unfortunately it is too late to talk. You will definitely set yourself back and it is impossible to fight the false hope. Leave the good memories on a shelf in your head and visit them when you need to. Don’t go to this meeting and ruin them by seeing the person you once cherished as cold and chastising. On day three there’s a lot of emotions, guilt, and blame flying around. If you disagree, you’re fighting and what’s the point? And if you apologize, you’ll end up groveling. After the split you’re only responsible for your feelings and while this sounds like the adult thing to do, it is not worth it.
