I’ve been looking into the social media of L.A. drag queen Anya Nees.

Anya first appeared on my radar earlier this year when WoW featured her among several DragCon looks from both Drag Race and unrelated queens.. (The only non-Drag Race girls featured were Anya, Eva Young, Luna Love St. James and Soju, for the curious.)

Then, on August 28th, Anya posted this on Facebook:

While I was hoping to make it to Drag Con in NYC, I'm a little too busy to be able to make it. LA was a blast, so have fun girls. Take lots of photos. Stay hydrated ya thirsty hoes. I'm gonna be super crazy busy this next month, but that's life and it's all for the best.

That last sentence made me a bit suspicious. However, Anya’s a theatre queen and performs as a boy in productions around L.A., so I thought maybe she’d just be busy with a show or even with her day job. (Her [Instagram(https://www.instagram.com/anyaneesbitch) hasn’t been active since August 3rd, which is also a bit odd as she posts on a regular basis, but again, maybe she took a break.)

I checked the theatre she did her last show at and she’s not in their next production, which runs Sept 8-Oct 14. (Their next show after that runs Nov 10-December 16.)

Conclusion is that she might be busy with her day job. I can’t find any hints on her social media that she might be on, but maybe some L.A. fish can see if there’s been any buzz.
