If you seen that one lp in the same store, and were they following you, or suspiciously there at the same place you were? they are setting up a sting, and yes they have evidence against you. I have that same situation, except this was back in early 2000s, they used real SECURITY guards, undercovers. I was a section of the store that was also a blindspot, and the items i wanted to steal, and i noticed someone in my peripheral vision watching me, so i became immediately nervous and dropped my stuff and walked past the undercover, and noticed he had his flipphone out, it was not on, so i knew he was doing that "pretend" do something else. so i walked away into the mall, many more times i went there and i saw them at the exact time, and same place i wanted to steal. The last time i ever noticed them when he also got another female undercover, presumbly to act as a female witness, i ditched, and they followed me, but i walked so quickly, i was already in the mall and i saw them come near the entrance and turned back. Thats the last time i saw them. i surmised they started setting up a sting, after i blatantly started stuffing mtg packs on the first floor, in front of an aisle with camera, or some employee saw me, i did this for a few months, and thats when the Undercover started to become noticible.(they were trying to set up a sting on the second floor. Im pretty sure this is what happened to you.
