Finally paid her off and it feels sooo good!! She's officially mine! :D

Fast forward. I ride that 650R for two years, put 35,000+ miles on it, down it, replace fairings and mirror, and happen to be out at the same dealership looking at a 2012 Ninja ZX6R, beautiful bike. Different sales guy I haven't met before comes up we talk, he runs my numbers (for my amusement, I wasn't actually planning on buying), I tell him it's too much and he says 'have you ever seen a FZ8?' I say no, he shows me, I lose my mind. I had seen one before, but had no idea who made it or what model it was before. It's image had been burned in my brain from a day my friend was riding with me and she starts punching me in the ribs and pointing at this bike that was parked across from us in oncoming traffic. I instantly knew I wanted that bike, but again, I had no idea what it was. So at the dealer I took it out for a spin and came back and said 'where do I sign?' Hahaha. So sales guy says do you have a bike to trade in, I say yes, 2009 Ninja 650, but it has high miles, needs new front and rear tires, a new chain, 22,000 miles service which I had been putting off after service shop (at dealer) said the bike was running perfect and determined the service was not required, and had been down, had replacement fairings and the headlight was glued back together. He says, 'no problem! Yamaha has a trade in incentive that if you switch manufacturers they'll toss in an extra $500! We can get you $3500 trade in!' So the next day I return, trade in the 650, ride away on my new bike! I was stoked!

I didn't mean that OP is going to trade in a new bike anytime soon, I mean that others do trade in practically new bikes and therefore you can buy those instead of buying a brand new one like OP did three times. Now I'm not buying any close-to-new motorcycles myself because.. well I guess I'm just cheap. So guess that is that.
