At least you have some self-awareness. ..It is rare for waywards to realize the horror they inflicted. So it took 11 months from D day to get there AND a traumatic event. I think that is the "rock bottom" moment that gets spoken of in terms of the light going on for waywards.

I am in a similar situation and just slightly older BH. The pain inflicted upon me by my wife is immeasurable. I really wish all of you wayards would consider all these horrific consequences BEFORE stepping out. I know mine didn't and the fall-out has been horrific.

I hope you are doing everything possible to help your husband through this trauma. It is PTSD especially in a long-term affair as you had and as I have also been subject to. You can't even begin to fathom what he has been through...
